Dr Imesha is a dedicated General Practitioner with over 17 years of experience in both Australia and overseas. She joins Riverlink Medical & Dental Centre following the closure of her previous practice in Ipswich, and is committed to continuing her care for the local community.

Dr Imesha earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2004 in Sri Lanka. She went on to complete a Diploma in Chest Medicine and achieved Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) after working extensively in both hospital and general practice settings.

She has a strong interest in geriatric care, women’s and children’s health, and also provides a range of procedures including iron infusions, Implanon and Mirena insertion/removal, and minor surgical procedures.

Known for her caring and compassionate approach, Dr Imesha is passionate about supporting her patients’ ongoing health and wellbeing.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and actively participating in community activities.
